Week 25

My Stats:
Total Weight Gain- 30 pounds!!
Circumference of Belly- 41 Inches

Week 25: Baby K
This week your baby is about 11 inches long and weighs about 1 ½ pounds.
I think all 11 inches are stretching, kicking, twisting, turning, and dancing around right now!!
Her eyes are open now and he might be blinking while she is awake and shut when she is asleep.
Baby K spends most of her time VERY awake and practicing soccer in my soccer ball sized uterus!

Mommy’s Body
By pregnancy calendar week 25, your uterus is roughly the size of a soccer ball.

At this point in your pregnancy, it’s common to notice occasional shooting pains in your legs or lower back. This discomfort is caused by the increased pressure your growing uterus places on your pelvis and back. Applying ice packs or a heating pad to the affected area or changing positions should help.

These shooting pains you speak of happen at night-- right in the middle of the night when I have finally found a position where I'm basically hovering among pillows so that my hips are not throbbing and BAM-- leg cramps like a knife in my calf!
AND MY HIPS ARE WIDENING!! CRAZY TALK!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Here are some of the fun and exciting things we received in anticipation for baby K!

Check out the BEST diaper bag ever.... here is me crying after opening it! Hormones for sure!

We also got a peanut shell!! I had to take it to a friends' house and borrow her baby so that I could test it out. Her sweet little 11 pound cutie pie looked at me like I was completely nuts trying to put him in this thing. BUT I hope it was not a look of fear, but a look of sweet comfort nestled into the peanut safely. We quickly discovered that we will need a Large size and I'm going to exchange it for the chocolate chip color to match the diaper bag! :)

Finally- the coolest jogging stroller EVER! This is the SUS (sport utility stroller) of strollers. Les and I have been cruising it around the house- it's great!!!

It's called THE BOB (which Les figured out means BABY ON BOARD) and it's green to match the best diaper bag ever!!!
We also got a wide assortment of everything pink you can imagine-- I'm not sure how I feel about this...
