For the longest time we have been looking for a park that is within walking distance of our house, has lots of shade, has play stuff for K’s age, has green space for kite flying… Look no more! We found the perfect park on Sunday and enjoyed the random cool July day! It only took us living here for A YEAR to find this place. We took along the black and white camera and played around with some picture taking. Now we still need to find the perfect Mexican food restaurant and the perfect Wings. There are actually things I miss about TX!!

Nicknames...

Who knows where these things come from? We have had several nicknames for K including noodle, bird, and KG. Now the first nickname for Q just burst out of my mouth today as I picked him up- BUMBLE - and it has stuck!

We have had quite a week! We took our first trip to the splash park- a FREE outdoor zero depth entry pool for ages 5 and under. It only goes to about 2 ft deep maybe. It has toys, spray fountains, water sprinklers—so much fun!!! I parked Q in his stroller/car seat right under a shade tree while K and I splashed around. Q slept, I enjoyed some chat time with other mommies, and K had an absolute blast!! She loved it!! It’s now our new favorite place AND it’s right by our favorite yogurt shop! Treats for all! I also did my first Step class in two years- yikes! I made it through, but it was rough! Feeling like I can conquer the world now!! Next week…. BODY PUMP weight lifting and abs class! I am loving not being pregnant!!!
