Snowball Fight!

MUTE your computer before watching... it's like a super cool old-time movie starring the (tied for first with Q-man) cutest kid in the world!

Winter Fun!

What a crazy title since, if you know me at all, you know I hate winter! But Keira seems to have inherited the “love of the cold” trait from daddy! It was nice to get another use out of her winter gear, and daddy and Keira had a fabulous time playing in the snow! Keira’s favorite thing was to make snowballs and then throw them at Abbey dog. She would pack the perfect ball, fling it all over Abbey, and laugh hysterically! Abbey loved the attention and didn’t seem to mind the snow! They were both covered in snow from head to toe by the end. Keira also enjoyed making snow angels and attempting to ride her “vroom vroom lion,” which was lacking snow tires and kept getting stuck! What a great day outside- and so confusing since I had the kids in t-shirts on Wednesday!

Those teeth are made for eating!

I wasn’t sure the best way to transition Quinn into eating more solid table foods, (it wasn’t THAT long ago that Keira made the switch)- but for some reason I couldn’t remember how K went from baby foods to table foods? SO- I decided to skip the “making my own purees” game to just throwing some things on Q’s tray and seeing what would happen. And yes, I just brushed up on my “what to do if baby chokes” skills. 24 hours ago, Quinn only ate fruits and veggies pureed from the jar, but in the past 24, here are the things he has taken down: PIECES of chicken (he hates the puree stuff- but gobbled down the small pieces), oranges, stars, cheerios, green bean pieces, fruit cup pieces, crackers (this was by accident- he stole it from K’s tray or maybe she gave it to him?), apple pieces, coffee cake, spaghetti cut up, meatball cut up, AND banana cut up (not mashed). He was so excited to feed himself so I feel kind of bad I didn’t try this before!? Now he is an eating machine, with the occasional puree of course, and he figured out what those 5 teeth he has are for! We are on our way! Next stop- POTTY TRAINING FOR KEIRA!!! Wish me luck!

Growing Up!

I find it hard to believe that Quinn is already 9 months old and Keira is almost 2! You can see Mr. Personality emerging from little Quinn as he hams it up for the camera. Whenever I have the camera, he will stop everything and flash that smile and those 3 (almost 4) teeth! I can see him down the road being able to get away with just about anything with those big brown eyes and smile that just make you melt!
Keira got her first tricycle today and she was so excited about it! She can almost pedal by herself, but also loves to just sit on it and make vroom vroom sounds and push backwards with her feet on the floor. The back has a carrier that she puts her favorite stuffed monkey into. She is so close to being able to pedal by herself- she will be zooming in no time!
We took the tricycle and Quinn’s car scooter to daddy’s office to ride around the big warehouse, but got distracted by the BIG tractors. The kids took turns “driving” and honking the horn. They absolutely love daddy’s big toys!!!

Feeling Fine!

It all started with a runny nose, which turned into a cough, which quickly spread to Quinn and I. Keira had a cough all last week, I was diagnosed with bronchitis, Quinn has a double ear infection, a cold, and is cutting two teeth. Notice Les is not mentioned…. So far he has escaped the plague! We have been out of commission for over a week and are finally able to get out and enjoy some of this beautiful weather!

Keira has trouble knowing the difference between the edible play dough and the package stuff… it’s non-toxic right??

Keira’s and my new obsession is iced animal crackers—so good! We are BOTH hooked- I have to sneak them when she’s not looking and hide them in the very back of the cabinet or we would both eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Forget the peas! Pass the cookies please! These cookies have actually inspired the theme for Keira’s birthday party!

Quinn can actually push himself on the little car! He can move it even better than Keira!
