Welcome Spring!

Spring has meant OUTSIDE OUTSIDE OUTSIDE PLAY! From morning to late evening we are thankful for this beautiful weather, parks, garden starting, planting flowers, picnics, no bugs, sunny days, playtime, fresh air, ahhhh…. Can it stay forever please? Someone said the other day that if the weather was always like this, we would not appreciate it as much as we do. WRONG! I promise I would appreciate it… promise! Please stay spring- forever! We HEART U!

Many updates to come on our HUGE garden project we are working on for the summer! Our extra bedroom has been transformed into a giant grow house! We are planning a very ambitious garden this year along with preserving much of our bounty for the winter!

April Showers…… A little puddle jumping anyone???

Bring May flowers!

I absolutely loved this series of photos with Q-man and his favorite fire truck! He popped his hat on- always backwards- grabbed the little firefighter he calls “mini-daddy” and made his many truck vroom vroom and emergency sounds. I think boys are born with the ability to imitate motorized vehicle noises perfectly!

I snapped this picture of K and Elmo at the Earth Day activities in the park- I then noticed the “no pictures” unless you purchase the $3 commemorative photo- whoops! I love getting a deal!

Please feed the animals! If you haven't been to Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure in Salina- it is worth a visit! We had a great vacation to Salina visiting Nana and Papa while Daddy was away! Can't wait for their new water park to open this summer! We'll BE BACK!

Happy THREE to KG!

Three years ago our lives changed forever! We welcomed our little princess into the world. I didn't truly know my capacity for love until the day she arrived. We also have had amazing successes this week since her birthday on Saturday! She came home from school on Tuesday and announced that she was done with diapers, gathered them all up from her room, and gave them to Q-man! We have had success after success since! Happy Birthday to my big girl!!!

Traditional birthday waffles with candles to start the day!

Thinking over her wish...

Of course Abbey dog participated- AKA- suffered through wearing hat in hopes of waffle bites!

The big girl bike!!!!

Uncle Brock and Uncle Josh always know just the right gift for our trendy toddler! She loves the boots!!! LOVES!

Make a wish...

Her requested PINK cake with PINK frosting... and rainbow sprinkles!

Papa D and Q enjoy some light reading!

And to top the birthday weekend off- we celebrated Easter the next day!!

A Little Monkey Bizz

We spent a rainy Friday morning at a fabulous place in KC called Little Monkey Bizzness- the highlight for Q-man had to be LUNCH after at Fritz's train restaurant where trains bring you your meal and zoom around a track built around the ceiling! When we tucked K into bed that night (the night before her 3rd birthday) she says to us "I don't think I want a bike for my birthday, no, I want a train that brings me food!"

Happy St. Pats- Minus one Parade...

We came, we had a lovely tailgate lunch, we saw friends, we had cookies, we froze… we missed the parade! That’s right- we actually met our friends, found a great parade watching spot, and broke down in tears before the parade even began! As Keira said- “That’s okay! We will see it next year!” Who decides to start a parade at 1:00 anyway??? Oh well! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Burrrrrrrrr...... Hello, spring??? Hello??? Where are you????

Kuhlmans Lately

What did Valentine’s Day mean to us? As you can see it meant SUGAR, some cute cards, more SUGAR, and SUGAR!

Chocolate chip heart-shaped pancakes of course!! (sugar)

Uh-oh! The look of too much sugar!!!

Keira did enjoy the valentines from her friends at school. She would take each one out of the bag and see who it was from then comment on each- "OH! Maddie gave me the Dora one! And John gave me the Batman one with tatoos!" She LOVED the tatoos!!

The train expo that made us famous! The kids were in the newspaper- HUGE picture of the kids checking out the trains! They had a great time!

We spent the past weekend in our old stomping ground in Texas! What a fabulous trip! The kids did so well on the airplane and through the entire trip! They were so excited to ride on the airplane, the buses, and even the rental car. We were able to spend time with so many of our old friends and see two of our dearest friends FINALLY get married!

Here we are at the zoo

Keira and Chloe are two months apart in age. They were only a few months old when we moved away. They had such a great time together playing and even had a slumber party sharing a bedroom one night! It was like they had known each other forever!
Here is Chloe with her mom and our great friend Heather.

Such cute girls showing off their shades!

The kids actually stop moving for 2 seconds for a photo op!

This is seriously the only photo I was able to take of Misti and Thorin's wedding... so sad! I spent most of the time chasing the kids and talking to so many of my old teacher friends- miss you all!!

I lied- this is the 2nd picture taken at the wedding- by Keira!

WONDERful Morning!

Thank you Wonderscope for providing a much needed play place today! The last time we came here Quinn was in his car seat carrier and Keira could not walk yet. WOW- look at us now! The kids had an amazing time exploring this kidapalooza of fun! Each time we walked into a new room to explore Quinn would shout "WOW!!!!!!" and then run as fast as he could boucing from one activity to the next! I think they both agreed that the water room was the best! Hooray for places like these saving sanity for moms everywhere in the winter!
